Is This Trip Right for You?
This is an interactive program. We look forward to walking and capturing the moment with you! Each day will include about 3 to 4 hours of walking which can be taken at your own pace. On some days, we will start as early to be able to have the best experience.
Day 1: Arrival day to Cairo
We are committed to giving you the seamless ME-WONDERS experience from start to finish of your trip. This includes your representative meeting and helping you as soon as you arrive in Cairo. They will personally give assistance through the visa and passport control. Your ME-WONDERS representative ensures that you meet your private vehicle pickup to bring you to your hotel. That evening, your ME-WONDERS Tour Leader will meet you for a trip kick-off and introduction where they review the schedule and details. This is then accompanied by a dinner afterwards.
We encourage all group members to meet before, however if the meeting is missed, your ME-WONDERS Tour Leader will be sure to leave you a note with the details.

Day 2: Alexandria, Kom El Shoqafa and Pompey’s Pillar
Let’s take a drive to Alexandria known as the bride of the Mediterranean Sea. We will enjoy its beautiful scenery along the road. We will visit Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa. Here we will find tombs, statues and Greek- Roman archeological objects to view. Then we will go to Pompey’s Pillar.

Day 3: Alexandria transfer to Cairo
We will take the day to enjoy the Alexandria city and in the afternoon drive back to Cairo to spend night there.

Day 4: Great Pyramids of Giza, Sphinx and Saqqara
We will explore the great Pyramid of Giza and discover the grandeur of ancient Egypt. There are panoramic views as we are passing through the dunes which will then lead us to the miraculous Sphinx. After, we will visit Saqqara which has the oldest pyramid and the first stone building to exist which gives us the opportunity to look over the ancient tombs. Then we fly to Aswan!

Day 5: Aswan and Philae Temple
After breakfast; We will check into our cruise accommodation. We recommend relaxing by the pool to enjoy the scenery or taking a trip to the town of Aswan to explore. In the late afternoon, we will venture off to a trip to Philae Temple.

Day 6: Cruise in Aswan, Abu Simbel Temples, Sailing to Kom Ombo
Adventure calls in Aswan city or doing the optional activity to visit the Temples of Abu Simbel which were built to honor Rameses II. After a day of your choice, we will sail towards Kom Ombo to visit its remarkable temples dedicated to Horus and Sobek

Day 7: Karnak and Luxor Temples
Let’s keep sailing! As we go down the Nile towards Luxor temples, glut of Ancient Egypt’s giant-sized temples and tombs lined with vibrant wall paintings, an open-air museum, while if there are only so many monuments you can cope with, then we will visit Karnak. This is the largest building that was constructed for religious purposes. The views of the surroundings are absolutely breath taking.

Day 8: Valley of Kings, Queen of Hatshepsut Temple, Colossi of Memnon, Drive to the Red Sea
In the morning we will explore the tombs of the Valley of Kings. We will then have the chance to see the Queen Hatshepsut’s Temple and the large Colossi of Menon. In the afternoon we will drive through the Eastern Desert and the Red Sea to Hurghada.

Day 9: Hurghada at the Red Sea
A full day dedicated to enjoying and admiring the Red Sea. With the crystal-clear waters and the absolute bliss, the Sea can be enjoyed with water sports, snorkeling, diving or even just taking a stroll along the shore.

Day 11: Egyptian Museum, Hanging Church and Bazaars
The Egyptian Museum is one of the most famous filled with treasures and artifacts from the tomb of Tutankhamun. The ancient mummies tell a story, and this is a once in a lifetime place to hear more about Egypt and its history. We will then head to visit to the hanging church and enjoy the bazaars where there are local goods and souvenirs.

Travel to Egypt during COVID – 19
Your safety is our top priority. Not only do we take extra measures before to ensure the safety of our tour group and staff, but we also continuously keep precautions on our priority list by recommending physical distance, wearing a mask, keeping rooms well ventilated and sanitized, avoiding crowds and close contact, and washing hands regularly. Checking local advice often before traveling to Egypt is highly recommended.
Visa
Most nationalities can obtain visas to Egypt upon arrival. You are responsible for arranging your visa. Please, stay up to date regarding new regulations that may be applied before you travel.
Visa fee is 25 USD or the equivalent to your currency. You will have the option to pay for the visa with US Dollars (USD), the British Pound (GBP) or in Euro’s (EUR). Please note that Egyptian pounds and credit cards are not accepted as payment methods when obtaining your Egyptian entry visa.
Flights
ME- WONDERS offers tour packages worldwide and welcomes travelers from any country and place. Roundtrip airfare is not included, and we recommend booking your flights when your tour is booked and confirmed.

Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is compulsory on all our trips for all travelers from other countries. We require that at minimum to be covered for medical expenses including emergency repatriation and Covid-19 treatments. We strongly recommend all travelers to have a policy that also covers personal liability, cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage or personal effects in international trips.
Pick up/drop off from/to Cairo International Airport
Pick up: When you arrive at Cairo International Airport, our helpful ME-WONDERS representative meets you and helps you with your visa and passport control. A private vehicle to your hotel will be arranged, it takes between 45 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on traffic conditions. Your ME-WONDERS representative will take you to the place where your vehicle is.
Drop off: ME-WONDERS offers a transfer to the airport, if chosen (Drop off) while booking in advance. It will be arranged based on request. Your ME-WONDERS Tour Leader will arrange this for you and provide you further details.
Starting point; Egypt
Starting point for all Egyptian tours is Cairo International Airport. Your ME-WONDERS representative will meet you after you depart your gate, welcome you to Egypt and help assist you throughout the airport for the visa and passport control areas.
Accommodation
Our prices are based on double bedrooms (twin-shared or king sized bed). which means that if you book as a solo traveler, ME-WONDERS will arrange for you to share with a person of the same gender. For couples, we ensure the accommodation is together. If you have any requests, please specify at the time of booking.
ME-WONDERS committed to the described accommodations hotel names, unless hotels are not possible to occupy, hotels can be changed, in all cases hotels stay at the same quality level or upgraded.

My Private Room
We offer an option for Single Travelers, if you book “My Private Room” during booking. You will have your own single room for Hotel nights and Cruise nights.
Note: ME-WONDERS cannot guarantee single cabinet in Sleeper train nor in Felucca.
Check-in / Check-out time
Hotel check-in time is usually at 2:00 pm and check-out time is before 12.00 pm. If you arrive early on the day or leave in the evening, hotels may be able to accommodate your luggage while you have other plans. More information will be provided by the front desk of the hotel.
Meal Plans
Vegetarian meals can be provided on our tours. We have often meals options that suit both vegetarians and non-vegetarians, based on the traveler’s preference. Once we have been informed about their meal preference, we make sure to arrange that with good-quality and tasty food.
Optional Activities
Optional activities are not included in the prices. We encourage our customers to participate in the optional activities. Your ME-WONDERS Tour Leader will share activity details with you throughout the trip.
Meet and Greet
At the start of each tour, we want our group to feel comfortable about the plans and details of the trip. Your ME-WONDERS Tour Leader will do a welcome and introduction meeting at 6:00pm where he/she goes over details, schedule, and answers questions. If you are unable to make it, there will be an information page provided later that evening.
Tour Leader
Each tour has a ME-WONDERS Tour Leader. Their goal is to ensure you have a remarkable trip with lifetime memories. Your Tour Leader will show you round attractions such as historic monuments, cultural centers and beauty spots, and provide you with background information to help make the most of your visit.
Transport
We offer a variety of different transportation options based on your tour selection. Our bus, sleeper train, felucca, and cruise ship are all private with air condition. Our flights are public and domestically booked.

There will be Wi-Fi services at all hotels.

Money Exchange
There are many offices everywhere in Egypt. ATMs are available within main cities in Egypt. MasterCard and Visa are generally accepted. We recommend contacting your bank before you travel.

Egypt has a semi-desert characterized by hot dry summers, moderate winters and very little rainfall climate.

Language
Our native language in Egypt is Modern Standard Arabic. English is widely spoken throughout the country.
Departure Tax
Departure tax is usually included in your air tickets. If you depart from Egypt via Nuweibea’ Port, there is a departure tax of approximately Nine (9) USD.
Attire in Egypt
Egypt’s socially acceptable attire is conservative. You will find that shoulders are covered, and clothing is to the knees. It is not required outside of mosques and important religious sites.
Safety
We recommend that you review the guidance that your government provides for the latest information regarding your trip and the suggestions that they provide on how to best be prepared and travel with caution.
Electricity
Please note that the voltage used in Egypt is 220 volts.
An important Rule
By travelling with us, you agree to adhere to not have or consume illegal drugs. You must comply with the laws, customs, foreign exchange, and drug regulations of all countries you visit. You must agree to travel in accordance with responsible travel guidelines. Illegal drugs is a risk to the whole group and we will take immediate actions to protect the group.
Tipping
We have created a ME-WONDERS pool of tips so that your Tour Leader can take care of this for the group rather than individually. This saves time, room for discrepancies and covers all service assistance. We kindly ask of {$ 6 USD per person / day} which covers all tips for the service providers we encounter throughout. This is collected on the first day of arrival during the introduction and welcome meeting. This does not include the gratuity for your ME-WONDERS Tour Leader. Our suggested amount {$ 6 USD per person / day} and based on the discretion of the customer.
